Public Transport

If you have never used public transport in Warrnambool there has never been a better time to give the bus a try!

A short walk to and from the bus stop is a great way to add extra exercise into your day.  Or you could take the bus to work and walk home, or vice versa.

Warrnambool’s upgraded bus service will provide more direct bus routes, running more often, connecting with other buses at the Koroit Street interchange in the CBD, trains at Warrnambool Station and major destinations. Public bus services will start earlier each morning and run for longer hours.

Key features of the new bus network include:

  • More frequent bus services for Warrnambool, with seven routes operating up to every 30 minutes during peak periods and every hour in the off-peak including weekends.
  • Buses that start earlier and run for longer hours, with buses operating from approximately 7am till 7pm on weekdays, 8am to 7pm on Saturdays and 8.30am to 6pm Sundays.
  • Better connections between buses at the Koroit Street interchange and with trains at Warrnambool Station.
  • More services to Port Fairy and Koroit, with multiple departures every day.
  • Streamlined routes that run more directly to the Koroit Street interchange, Warrnambool Station and major destinations such as Deakin University and Gateway Plaza, with easy connections between services to allow for travel across Warrnambool.
  • Buses that operate in both directions ways to enable trips in the direction you want to travel, and to get you there faster.
  • Five new revised school bus services; so many students will have the choice of catching the public bus or school bus.
